Back from holiday no.2

A cruise is only fun when you go with likeminded people and people who can create fun out of nothing and have copious amounts of patience.

when i was with my parents at amk hub i chanced upon this mother and daughter pair outside DBS. What was striking was that they both had shaved heads. And it was striking because i connected it straightaway with the daughter having an illness and her mother shaving her head along with her so that she wouldn't feel alone and then i pondered on whether i would ever do such a thing as a mother. So i was very touched. Then again, things probably may not have been like i thought,which would be good, but i would think Indian women pride themselves on long thick elaborate hair, and in Singapore nobody is iconoclastic enough anyway.

Anyway the greatest insight i gathered from Wednesday till today, apart from the oft-gathered insight into the weird rude souls of hungry Singaporeans and Singaporeans who are always rushing to wherever and love to queue for whatever,was the depths of a mother's love.
