Candice deserves a great pat on the back AND the title of The World's Best Shopping Partner because with her capable leadership and resourceful demeanour as well as her observant eyes in 2.5 hours her client managed to nab a gown, (3 pairs of)earrings and great heels all for under 75.

What a record!

And i'm so glad i'm not going for prom. I'm happy about prom shopping only because it means going out with my friends and because i don't have to spend money.

Everybody is going to average an expenditure of $200 for prom! Okay the (insignificant) details about how it's seeing people in a different light, (superficially) promising that they'll keep in touch till forever barring instances where some doctor/lawyer/housing agent/finance guru is trying to sell something to some hopefully unsuspecting batchmate, eating, drinking, partying like teenagers should, sharing the once in a lifetime, priceless experience et cetera.

One word. So?

I don't want to be a cynic either.

Sometimes i can't believe the A levels are over and i'm out having fun without a care in the world

And that i'm about to learn driving. And by the way IT COSTS A BOMB! IT'S DISGUSTING! I EARNESTLY PRAY THAT I WILL SECURE MY LICENSE IN RECORD TIME BEFORE THIS GUILTY FEELING OF SPENDING TOO MUCH OF MY PARENTS' HARD EARNED MONEY ENGULFS ME.

Today i wore shades out. Apart from the fact that i enjoyed being/acting cool, it was really useful. I don't have as many crazed fans waiting to ambush me like megastars do, but in view of the fact that Singapore is small and there is only that many places post-A level students can hang out in, i keep running into people i know. And i hate meeting people i know. All my friends know that. Because i don't always want to say hi. I want to enjoy the day out in my own world and not get interrupted.

My anti-social behaviour scares myself too. I even ran away from my own grandma today on my way out.

Woe betides me. And if she asks me about it later!! Oh well, hope not.i did my hair a different way

One day i might end up with only a handful of friends that i actually like to say hi to, and all the rest will disown me. Because my natural instinct is to be nonchalant. And actually this is really quite dumb. X.X
