and went on to have dinner 1.5 hours later i.e. like full meal? YAH.
anyway the swensens' experience was nice while it lasted. i conclude that i really like swensens!
especially their sizzling apple crumble thing. it's the stuff that my second-class food dreams are made of. first-class would be like: eating at carousel! i really really want to try. iwant to try the cheezecake cafe thingo at great world city too!
i recently learned that i say 'of course' a lot. and i blow my own trumpet a lot.
hm.
self-discovery is an important process of life.
and, watched some videos of rescue operations in sichuan at my grandparents' house.i was thinking why the human will to survive is so strong. my mother said that there was this mother registering her child at the kindergarten my mum works at, and she was from china! or something. or myanmar. i am not adept at understanding teochew. anyway the receptionist asked if she was very distraught over the destruction caused by the disaster and the mother said no! she was happy because most of them were Christian and they've gone on to have a better perfect life in heaven and no longer need to be stuck on this earth.this earth, which is going to go into self-destruction mode soon and everything will be reduced to dust. why would people still persist in living after 180 hours of pure depressing pain and solitude? what defines the human spirit?
i think it is nothing short of amazing. but humans are still the same humans who built the buildings who did not fulfill fundamental safety standards. we are such a flawed flawed flawed species.
