though i don't see the point of film critics and am bent on not letting them sway my judgement
we have to concede that they do know what they are talking about sometimes.
case in point: review of Juno in today's papers
and oh Juno i am at a loss for words to express how inexorably wonderful you and your movie is!
the world should hail diablo cody as the legend of modern script writing cos the dialogue in Juno is smart witty good and just excellent excellent excellent!
i haven't met anyone as witty and funny and smart all rolled into one yet but diablo cody is just that.
and ellen page! what an invigorating addition to my very minute list of great actresses. non-conformist, confident, intelligent, honest and beautiful! and so very very talented i hope she wins Best Actress i'd give it to her rightaway if i could
and i think i shall go watch Hard Candy.
it was shocking realising she was kitty pryde in x-men.
it somehow doesn't link.
i really love x-men but it's commercial and ellen is too cool for x-men but God bless ellen with success please! and please don't ever let her do a britney/lindsay/mary-kate and ashley.
and everyone should go watch juno
and i don't really care about the measly ratings for jumper i think it's interesting
one huge mystery in my life is why cool interesting attractive stuff/people have J in their names!
WHY WHY WHY!
this season there's johnny juno and jumper to prove my point and all these are just the tip of my mountain of J things.

anyway tomorrow is my 18th lonely heart valentines' day but thinking about all these is inconsequential.
many moons ago one guy in my block entered the lift one valentines' day morning while i was on the way to school. and this guy had slicked back hair and a cute bunch of roses with a teddy bear inside and a can of green tea he was drinking from. the focus here would naturally! be his bunch of roses. at that point of time i was thinking: wow so rich so weird too young!
i think he's just one of the many predecessors of the teenage valentines' day big spenders recently featured in the papers.
what constitutes love? the Bible has all the answers.
but in humanly terms i think love is giving. of time of money of your heart of your loyalty of your commitment of your spare time of your thoughts of your mind!
then again though i am practical and realistic and i think it's foolish spending so much on somebody you might break up with anytime soon it's also enviable and touching being on the receiving end of expensive affections.
in case any of my friends outside of my class read this i'm sorry. ironically i love you all but i won't be giving you anything :D heh
i shall finish reading 101 things about the mafia
life is so boring nowadays i have no social observations to write essays about but chronicles of my own boring life.
but the saving grace of my life, other than juno is...they kiss again ! x) damn good. i miss lim hui qing X.X
sigh and throwing stuff into the black hole that is my stomach.
it makes me want to sleep thinking about how devoid of excitement my life is.
