now i blog in order to accede to jackie's request "with all the graciousness of a Candice".
12may2007: UNAS! met mah yi xin! HAHAHA. if you happen to see this, it's cool that you haven't changed since like, primary school. mm UNAS was my first history/current affairs/intellectual affairs seminar in my life. i now pledge to devote more of my time to such scholarly pursuits with scrumptious teabreaks guranteed. but the most striking thing wasn't the head of UNAS speaking, nor the topshots in UN, and definitely not the ambassador from the embassy of japan and other professors, but daniel ong's presentation on the SEA refugees (i.e. Laos). the video shown was really heartwrenching to say the least. it showed live, close-up footage of a boy, about 8 years, who was slashed and abandoned, with his intestines spilling out. and other horrific testimonies of women who were raped or lost their family to such senseless attacks. and then it made me remember George Santayatana: "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." we have so much literature, testimonies, the freaking internet articles on mass exterminations like auschwitz and the rape of nanking, and people still commit such demonic acts against fellow humans. it has led me to think that either human nature is incorrigible evil, or that the world is really cruel, or that both conclusions are actually fact.

14 may: yinwei concluded that i'm dumb cos i told him that he's officially one month older than me! i actually meant my birthday is in exactly one month!! wanted to send out birthday party invites today. but xin you yu er li bu zu!
15 may: MY BROTHER IS BACK FROM BRUNEI!! yes i am the only sappy loving tender freak in the entire family who was so excited that i went all over to prepare a homecoming feast for him since i thought he must have suffered alot (which isn't really true), i bought like bubble tea chips beef noodles and cake. all of which he devoured. and all of which i received compensation for from my father (duh right). and he currently still looks like a MATCHSTICK MAN WHAT IS HAPPENING!! he is not eating like a horse like i hoped he would. i told priscilla it's nice to watch guys eating. because their appetites and capacity and speed and enjoyment of food is admirable. the girls around me are scared of being fat. okay la me also. except maybe jackie but she is not around me. BUT THEN!!! FOOD BECOMES LIKE A CHORE AND A SIN. URGHHHHHHH PISSES ME OFF. yes so i was hoping my brother would eat lots y'know not because i want to observe guys eating like lab specimens but then it makes you feel good about eating too. yah and my brother is burnt and black. i told him he looks like an indian and he said i'm racist. HUHH? REALLY MEH.
16 may GOT DISCHARGED FROM PHYSIO. CAN RUN ALREADY YES. ALL OF YOU READING THIS MUST MAKE A COMMITMENT TO PRAY FOR ME THAT I WON'T GET INJURED ANYMORE AND WILL ABLE TO PERFORM IN X-CTRY AT LEAST, SUFFICIENTLY OKAY AS THE SLOWEST IN THE GIRLS TEAM (: i'm a very realistic and optimistic person.
17 may nothing exciting. oh i finished history essay today. i was so excited i printed it out. realised got errors. printed another copy. realised got errors again. shall print another copy today.
18 may MY AHMA'S BIRTHDAY. AT TEOCHEW GARDENS. 79 years old woohoo! next year 8 decades old. yah met my cousins. I AM SO AGGRIEVED THAT THOUGH I HAVE 3 TODDLER COUSINS: jayden xavier and reina, none of them are sufficiently close enough to me! but they are so very very very very ADORABLE. i love babies and the baby smell (: jayden has an androgynous look (super in now) xavier is gonna be a really handsome kid. and reina is gorgeously pretty. will outrank all the ms worlds and ms universes-es hands down. oh and i ran 8 rounds today. lousy shit.
19 may tm412 auction was super funny. yes and worship was great. and so was dinner with prilalalalalala. let's go shopping and eat ice cream sometime soon!
