joshua says: When you try not to live up to the expectations of others, but only for God's expectations, life becomes easier.
which is true! but i never thought of it that way
up till saturday i never realised i wasn't taking a sabbath since my schooling days. for rest, friends, family and spiritual renewal. which should be a day long! i.e. 24 hrs.
my sabbath shall be 3 pm on saturday to 3 pm on sunday.
and then i realised i need to do my best for God, not for myself.
which is very impactful for me because i've been trying to achieve the best for myself when i actually just need to try and do my best
but thing is, what is trying your best? overstudying? forcing yourself to be awake so you can study? or does it matter at all if your best is being the best if you know you can achieve it?
then again, results are transient.
because God won't care how many times you topped the class.
cross country tomorrow. GO RJC XTRY TEAM D:
the censored version of london bridge goes: OH SHHH OH SHHH OH SHHH.
and then the same censors blast out this ain't a scene, it's a god damn arms race.
but as my dad says, these are the inconsistencies in life.
life is SAD. okay maybe i'm too emo since i'm sad but life isn't really.
i hate you i hate you i hate you you're hypocritical and competitive
; but i shouldn't.
