lots of weird going-ons on christmas day!
my mum said:
candice ah, next time your husband must be the same as you or better than you.
(me: you mean what, salary?)
mummy: yah (...) if not i will kua suay him.

at a shop in novena square:
salesguy: ni bu shi ben di de right!
me: wo shi!
salesguy: oh...ni de hua yu jiang de you dian bu tong!

X.X im so sad i don't sound like a local through and through but forget it not studying chinese anymore.
X.X but i didn't ask him where i sound like im from. sekali CHINA! HAHA

at the same shop in novena square:
woman: zhe ge shi shen me!
same salesguy: pillow! yuan jia $10 xian zai mai $3.
woman: yong lai shui jiao de hah

wah piang faints ah! i laughed out loud. hope she heard.
same salesguy(without hesitating or flinching): ni yao yong lai shui jiao hai shi song gei ren dou ke yi.

such commendable service. if i were him i'd pause a while to make sure the poor woman understands what a pillow is. and then of course since im so patient and sincere recommend ways to use the pillow as long as she paid the $3.

my mummy said she was probably mesmerized by the salesguy and wanted to talk to him for as long as she could! haha
